Fab Furoshiki!

Furoshiki fabric & Festival of Britain objects

Some more great finds from charity shops this week- a 1951 Festival of Britain hankie to go with my box from the same era and a piece of Furoshiki fabric.

Apparently the fabric is used for wrapping presents in Japan and used to be for bundling up clothes when people went to the public baths! There’s loads of beautiful ones on the internet- I haven’t decided what to make from mine yet!

I’ve been on a course on how to improve my website- so expect some changes here soon!

Another successful art class for children on Saturday, again with interesting results..

Half term is approaching so I’m getting ready for my first children’s workshop- making Modroc masks. I’m sure the young artists will produce something more exciting than mine!
