New needle felting classes start this week on Wednesday 7 to 7.55 pm or on Friday 26th June 10 to 11am. Sign up soon as limited places available! Below is a photo of what we’ll be making.
I’ll be at the Henham Garage Sale Trail today selling vintage goods and a few craft items too. Fingers crossed for the weather!
A lovely arty Saturday spent mooching around Braintree. Popped into the museum and checked out the art exhibition there and then onto the Warner Textile Archive. Discovered some textile treasures – I especially liked the William Morris designs and the designs from the 1950s and 70s. The visit inspired me to finish making some felt brooches…Check out http://www.warnertextilearchive.co.uk to find out about the great courses they run too!
Finished off making my Isle of White bunting from a lovely tablecloth that was too full of holes to sell in my vintage corner. It looks good with the royal themed backing too – couldn’t fit it all in the picture!

Actually had a whole day in the studio and got quite a lot done!
Unloaded and re-displayed all the vintage goodies from the weekend, made a curtain to cover up where the hoover lives, made three lots of bunting and tidied up! Phew!
They’re made from vintage baby books and vintage scarves and look good I think! All unique too!
A reminder that there’s no classes this week as it’s half term…
On Monday I’m selling some of my vintage hoard at the Enfield Pageant and looking forward to a really retro day! If you can’t make it to the pageant, pop in to the studio on Tuesday between 11 and 4 and check out the Vintage Corner then!
One of my crafty pupils tried out the new crochet gadget and found it quite comfy to use and less strain on her fingers- worth checking out if you do a lot of crochet..

Found some lovely items to sell in the vintage corner of the studio today. I guess I can’t keep everything I find!!
I also popped to ‘Little Sew n’Sews’ in Epping which stocks an amazing amount of wool, fabric and craft gadgets and bought an ergonomic crochet hook handle that fits a variety of hooks. May try it out in classes next week!
I bought this lovely book by Clare Youngs too.
I wish I could buy more time to work through all the fab projects in it!!
Had a wonderful time in Venice for my birthday! Now it’s back to earth!

This week THERE IS NO CLASS ON FRIDAY but Wednesday classes are running as usual. See you there!
Phew! What a hectic couple of days! Moved most of my stuff into the studio on Friday (thanks Dad!) and did a vintage fair in Hertford on Saturday! More studio prep today too- I’m getting there!
Parking for craft classes on a Wednesday evening should be ok on the street if there’s space. Beginners (7 to 7.55pm) could park in the right hand part of the yard if there’s room and Improvers (8 to 8.55pm) could park on the left.
Friday crafters (10 to 11 am) will probably have to park in the public car park or in the yard if there’s room.
